This policy explains what personal data Altrove collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Altrove designs private, tailor-made travel experiences in Italy. Altrove is currently operated by its two founders as individuals, who are jointly the data controllers for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you complete a form on this site, respond to one of our advertisements, or contact us directly, we may collect:

• Name and surname
• Email address and telephone number
• Country of residence
• Travel preferences: approximate dates, party size, destinations of interest, budget range
• Any other information you choose to include in your message

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and time spent. We use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors arrive at our site and to measure the performance of our advertising.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a travel proposal for you
• To arrange your trip, which requires sharing certain details with the hotels, guides and transport providers involved
• To communicate with you before, during and after your journey
• To improve our website and advertising, in aggregate form
• To comply with legal and accounting obligations

Our legal bases are your consent (for marketing), the performance of a contract (to deliver your trip), our legitimate interest (to improve our service), and legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).

4. Who we share it with

We share your data only where it is necessary:

• Travel suppliers — hotels, guides, drivers and experience providers involved in your itinerary, and only the details they need
• Service providers — email, hosting and scheduling tools that operate on our behalf
• Travel advisors — where you were introduced to us by an advisor, we keep them informed about your booking
• Authorities — where we are legally required to do so

We never sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

We are based in Italy and most of our suppliers are in the European Union. Some of our service providers operate outside the EU, including in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on the safeguards permitted under the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 24 months, then deleted
• Booking and client records: 10 years, as required by Italian accounting law
• Marketing contacts: until you withdraw consent

7. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete your data
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for marketing, at any time and without giving a reason

Write to info@livealtrove.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.

8. Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work. You can also control how Meta uses your activity in your Facebook ad preferences.

9. Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Where a trip includes minors, their details are provided by the booking adult and used solely to arrange the journey.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to clients with an active booking by email.
